What Is Thermography

Thermography is a printing process which relies on heat applied to create raised, clear, glossy finish. It is a practical alternative to achieve a raised effect similar to engraving and embossing. Thermography is usually observed as an engaging and ideal printing process that adds prestige to any printed piece. This refers to two types of printing, both of which rely on heat to create the letters or images on a sheet of paper. The simplest type is where the paper has been coated with a material that changes color on heating.

  • - Because this is a heat applied process, it can only be used on one side of the card and cannot be used in close proximity to foil. This finishing is ideal for larger areas that do not contain fine details.
  • - This process is available on Dark Business Cards & Laser Cut Business Cards.
